39 Mallaig Road Lift Repairs

Unfortunately, we had to decommission the odd-number lift at 39 Mallaig on Thursday last week (19 June 2025). We had carried out a variety of repairs over the past few weeks to keep it operational, but unfortunately have had to take it out of operation for the time being.  

The lifts are quite old, and parts are becoming more challenging to source. As a result, our contractor can only give us an indicative timeline for completing the repair, and they are trying to speed up the suppliers as far as reasonably practicable. We are hoping the repair will be carried out and the lift operational in early July, and we will continue to engage with the contractor on speeding up the process, but we have no control over this. The even-number lift is still operational.  

We do fully appreciate that it is an inconvenience, but there is little we can do to influence the delivery of parts.
