Elaine McDermott Housing Manager
Elaine has been in the housing sector for 20 years and has worked with the Association for 12 years now. She was appointed to the Housing Manager role, following her post as Housing Officer.
During her time with the Association, Elaine has completed the Level 4 Diploma in Housing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Elaine completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies at the University of Glasgow in 2022.
In her free time Elaine is a voluntary committee member for another RSL in the Renfrewshire area.
Steven Murphy Housing Officer Patch 4
Steven has been employed in the social housing sector for most of his adult working life, starting as a voluntary placement at Hawthorn Housing Co-operative in November 2011 and then as a Modern Apprentice, Clerical Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Maintenance Assistant until taking up the post of Customer Services Assistant at Linthouse Housing Association in February 2018. Steven has an SVQ Level 2 & 3 in Business Administration and the CIH Level 2 & 3 & 4 in Housing Practice.
Laurie Kefalas Housing Officer Patch 2
Laurie joined the Association as temporary Customer Service Assistance in May 2018. Although a relative newcomer to social housing at the time, Laurie had previous work placement experience with Loretto Housing and within the voluntary sector. Laurie became a Housing Officer with LHA in May 2019. She has an Honours Degree in Public Policy from the University of Glasgow, and the CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing.
Rachael Gray Housing Officer Patch 1
Rachael joined LHA in October 2021 in the role of Assistant Housing Officer – with a focus on Tenancy Sustainment and Customer Engagement. She has over 10 years’ experience delivering excellent customer service and spent the last 4 years working in housing management teams providing housing advice, information and support to tenants. Rachael looks forward to bringing her skills and experience to Linthouse Housing Association and working closely with the community.
Mark Kiernan Housing Officer Patch 3
Mark joined the association in December 2022 and has 12 years housing and social work experience working with local authority and has a SCQF Level 7 in Housing Law Advice.
Yvonne McDonald Housing Officer Patch 1 and Patch 2
Yvonne has been working in the housing sector for 40 years in a variety of roles. She is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing having completed the housing studies programme and graduated from Glasgow University in 1998.
In her free time Yvonne is a voluntary committee member with another RSL in the West Dunbartonshire area.
Joe Fitzpatrick Assistant Housing Officer
Joe started with the Association in September 2016 and is based in the Linthouse team. He has over 31 years’ experience working in social housing which includes Glasgow Housing Association and other local Associations.
Natalie Alexander Assistant Housing Officer
Natalie joined LHA as a Housing Assistant having previously worked as a caseworker with Citizens Advice Scotland’s Extra Help Unit supporting people facing difficulties with their energy supplier. She has experience supporting vulnerable consumers and is passionate about customer service and mental health. Natalie has 10 years’ experience in a customer service background, including providing energy advice. She's looking forward to working with the local community and building positive relationships.
Leah McGuire Senior Housing Assistant
Leah joined LHA as a volunteer to gain experience within an office environment after finishing her college course in Administration and IT. Leah works within the Housing and Community Empowerment Team helping her to build up her experience and her confidence. She is looking forward to widening her knowledge within her role and working with the community.
Ellie Miller Housing Assistant
Ellie's work experience was working as an admin assistant and planner in Turner Services. Ellie started there in 2020 after leaving school and completed an apprenticeship SCQF level 6. Then worked within the repairs and maintenance section and gained a little bit of finance experience as well. Ellie left there in 2022 and joined Linthouse to gain more experience to progress a housing career.
Kirsty Rush Housing Assistant
Kirsty joined our Housing and community empowerment team in September 2022. Kirsty has previous experience as she worked in the NHS for 11 years doing clerical work. Kirsty is a local resident and is now looking to expand her knowledge within LHA.
Layla Ferguson Modern Apprentice - Housing Team
Layla started in the Association in March 2025. Over the last year, Layla previously worked in part-time Hospitality jobs.
Layla really enjoys working with people and making a difference in their lives. Being part of Linthouse Housing Association has shown her how vital housing associations are for communities.
Layla is excited to continue learning through her modern apprenticeship and hopes to keep making a positive impact in people's lives as she develops in her career.
