Information Requests

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”) and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (“EIR”) place a general obligation on Scottish Public Authorities to allow the public access to information that they hold. Both FOISA and EIR are overseen by the Scottish Information Commissioner (“SIC”).

From November 2019 Linthouse Housing Association (LHA) has been designated as Scottish Public Authority and is required to make information available in accordance with FOISA and EIR.

Our FOI Policy:

  • Provides a general understanding of FOISA and EIR
  • Outlines where responsibility lies for complying with the legal duties of EHA under FOISA and EIR Policy Statement

Where suitable, LHA will publish on this site. If the information you seek is not available on the website, you can check our Guide to Information for details on where this information will be held.

Making an information request -

Requests made by email should be sent to dpo@linthouseha.com

Requests by letter should be sent to our main office.

Subject Access requests under UK GDPR/DPA2018 can be made either verbally or in writing.

Freedom of Information requests must be in writing, i.e., an email or letter. An EIR request can, however, be made verbally.

If you need more information on your rights and what should be included in a request, you can get this from the Scottish Information Commissioner
