Improving the lives of local residents

Recruitment pack for Asset Assistant or Senior Asset Assistant:

Linthouse Housing Association (LHA) is gearing up to continue to deliver an ambitious range of new build properties alongside our existing work to refurbish and regenerate more of our traditional housing stock. We have a number of projects within our Asset Management Team which are now underway again as business starts returning to normal. After a review of our priorities, we are now looking for an additional member of the team to support these projects.

We are on a journey of transformational change to improve the quality of our housing stock, deliver exciting new homes and to secure value for money and provide excellent customer service in all that we do. Our customers are at the heart of all we do and this role will be vital in supporting members of the Asset Team to deliver quality housing to add to our local stock while supporting existing customers and contractors on a day to day basis. You will be part of a dynamic team working with all members of the team, including other asset team members, development staff and technical services staff. It is essential that you can demonstrate your skills as a self-starter and team player.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a strong administrator, must have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and, ideally, a knowledge of the social housing sector from a development, asset management or technical side of the business. However, for the right candidate, we will look at your potential too, and not just your experience, so don’t be put off if you have not worked in social housing before.

You will be confident enough to deal with customers and other stakeholders over the phone, understand the importance of gathering key facts and information, understand our obligations to our customers and be ready to take the initiative. You will understand the importance of gathering and recording information and also interpreting this data too, looking for areas of concern while analysing our performance. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to contribute statistical information into reports and updates to senior management.

For that reason, we are considering appointing the right applicant at EVH Grade 5 for this post as the salary level recognises that there will be a large degree of autonomy and self-management for the right person in this role who has relevant experience and evidence of achievement. There may also be the opportunity to develop in the role should we offer an initial appointment at EVH Grade 4 where mentoring and learning more about social housing in a practical “hands on” environment will lead to opportunities for progression.

As a member of Employers in Voluntary Housing, we offer a competitive salary and generous terms and conditions of service.

The closing date for applications is 0900 on Monday 28 June 2021. It is planned to conduct interviews on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 July 2021.  The application pack is below
