Trussell Trust Foodbank

In December 2022 Linthouse Housing Association began partnering with Trussell Trust and the Glasgow Southwest Charity to host a weekly distribution point for the Govan and Linthouse area foodbank.

The foodbank is held every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm in the rear warehouse at LHA’s Cressy Street office and supports those who have been referred by providing a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food. In addition to emergency food packs you can also receive support and advice to help maximise your income.

One regular user has commented on how they have become dependent on the Foodbank as a result of their low income and it has helped them to ensure they have enough food to get by.

To use the service you will need a referral voucher which can be provided by many local organisations, including Linthouse Housing Association, and Trussell Trust can let you know where you can obtain a voucher (07437 910115).
