New Food Projects in Linthouse
21 Nov 2022
Linthouse Housing Association are delighted to announce 2 new food projects in partnership with Good Food Scotland and the Trussell Trust.
Community Larder - Good Food Scotland will be bringing their mobile larder to LHA's offices.
The larder stocks similar items to the average grocery shop but at a fraction of the price and there is no limit to what you can buy.
Membership costs £1 a month and once you're registered, you can start shopping (you don't need to bring any documents to register) and the membership money goes back into the larder to buy additional stock.
The larder will be open to the community on 15th & 22nd December between 10am and 2pm and will restart in the new year.
Food Bank - the Trussell Trust have weekly pick-up points across South West Glasgow and LHA's offices will be their new collection point for the Govan and Linthouse area for people who have been referred to the food bank.
Many local organisations have vouchers for the food bank but the Trussell Trust are happy to help people on the day too so please call into the office if you're struggling.
They will be in our office every Tuesday between 2pm and 4pm in the lead up to Christmas, starting on 22nd November, and then again in the new year.
Keep an eye out for updates on our Twitter account and on our website.
