Factoring Services
Linthouse Housing Association provides a factoring service for both privately owned residential and commercial properties within the association’s local area. The association aims to provide a quality management and maintenance service that is good value for money, meets all legal requirements and standards of good practice laid down by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.
The main legal documents which define the respective responsibilities and obligations of owners are as follows
-Title Deeds
-Deed of Conditions (What is a deed of conditions?)
-Factoring Agreement
-Disposition
These legal documents outline your shared responsibilities for the upkeep, management and maintenance of the common elements that belong to the property.
WHAT IF I LIVE IN A HOUSE RATHER THAN A TENEMENT FLAT?
Even if you live in a main door property you may still have a responsibility for common maintenance within the feuing area- this is the area in which all the individual properties within the title deeds are situated. (What is a Feuing Area?)
In the case of the Ridgeway Park Estate these common areas can be seen here. (Ridgeway Park Map)
